What kind of photographer are you?
As a wife, mother and brand new grandmother I understand how quickly families change and your little ones grow. Photographically I love ‘Capturing the Moment’; that never to be repeated gesture, action or happening. We plan for the big events; the weddings, christenings, graduations, ‘big birthdays’ etc. but how many of us plan to capture the everyday, the natural reactions and the emotion? This is what I aim to capture in the photographs I create. I enjoy photographing in natural light and choose not to use flash or reflectors in my shoot, giving us more opportunity for spontaneity.
Where will my session be held?
I am based in Dunstable and included in your package are shoots within a 10 mile radius, if you have a venue in mind we can discuss options, I may be able to travel further but that would include an additional charge to cover travel expenses and time. I know a number of possible venues in Bedfordshire where we can shoot, I will make suggestions as part of your booking process.
How long will my session be?
Approximately 45 minutes.
What will my session be like?
Forget standing and looking at the camera, also I will never instruct anybody to smile. My style is to capture your family enjoying each others company, having fun and interacting. In order to make this happen and overcome any shyness or awkwardness I will suggest poses, and actions; we will get up close and personal...it will be fun. I do not use props, however if you have a throw or rug you would like to bring along to sit on or wrap around your family that could be useful.
How many people can we have in our shoot?
That is really up to you, the price includes families of up to 6 people, if you have more than that contact me as we may need to allow more time and there may be an additional charge.
What should I wear?
The most important thing to think about is comfort. I will ask you to sit or maybe even lie on the floor for some images so think about that when you plan your outfit!
Here are a few guidelines which you may find helpful:
· Try and coordinate, but not match.
· If you want to wear patterns, use sparingly and avoid big logos, words or cartoons.
· Wearing white can be too bright and overpowering in photos.
· Loose stripes/checks are fine.
What availability do you have?
All available slots for a particular shoot will be visible on the booking page.
Will I see the digital photos from my session?
Within 2 weeks of your shoot I will l send you a link to your own online gallery of images. I guarantee at least 50 images.
Will you use my images on your website?
You will be the only people who will have access to your gallery, unless you choose to share the password. However, I will ask if you are willing for me to share some of your images on the public part of my site, if you agree I will then ask you to sign a model release form.
What happens if the weather is bad?
Weather in the UK can cause us difficulties if we are shooting outside. I will keep a close eye on the forecast in the run up to your shoot and will only postpone if heavy rain is forecast, light showers can provide opportunities for some different images, think wellies, puddles and umbrellas! The day before your shoot I will contact you, either to confirm the arrangements or to reschedule at a mutually agreeable time.If your shoot is scheduled for a Friday I request that you keep the Saturday (next day, same time) free as an alternative.
What happens if my children are unwell?
I am happy to offer one re-schedule free of charge due to illness. Please note that further re-schedules are subject to a re-booking fee.
How will you communicate with me about my shoot?
I will keep you informed at every step of the way. I want you and your family to enjoy the experience, so I will have everything organised for you.
1. You select your package and book an available date which suits you.
2. I confirm the arrangements via email.
3. One week before the shoot I will email you to finalise details, meeting point, time etc.
4. The day before your shoot I will email you to confirm that all is going ahead as planned or to suggest a reschedule if the weather is against us.
When do I pay?
A 50% deposit is required on booking, the remainder before the shoot. Details will be provided on the booking page. Gift certificates, mini shoots and add-ons have to be paid for in full when booking.
